Altona and Area Empty Stocking Fund

bikeLast year, the Altona and Area Empty Stocking Fund provided Christmas hampers for 165 families and gifts for more than 400 children. Red River Mutual staff members raised $3,972 towards the Empty Stocking Fund. Red River matched these funds for a total of $7,944. Staff members raised the funds by organizing a Walk-N-Roll-A-Thon on June 11, 2009.

Supporting Fire Prevention and firefighting in Saskatchewan

fire2Red River is committed to supporting fire prevention and firefighting efforts in Saskatchewan. Recently, Red River Mutual partnered with Cathedral Insurance to donate $2,000 to the Estevan Fire Department and their new fire detector program. The fire detector program is a brainchild of Dustin Sands, one of the dedicated volunteer firefighters. Red River Mutual also recently donated $1,260 to the Moose Jaw Fire Department and, in partnership with Cornerstone Insurance, donated $2,000 to the RM of Buckland Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.

Red River gives Manitoba’s Fire Departments a Boost

fire1As part of our commitment to supporting fire prevention and firefighting efforts in Manitoba, Red River Mutual recently made donations to Fire Departments throughout Manitoba including donations of $1,000 to the Glenboro – South Cypress Fire Department, $2,000 to the MacGregor Fire Department, $1,760 to the Hamiota Fire Department, $1,500 to the Ste.
