Red River gives Manitoba’s Fire Departments a Boost

fire1As part of our commitment to supporting fire prevention and firefighting efforts in Manitoba, Red River Mutual recently made donations to Fire Departments throughout Manitoba including donations of $1,000 to the Glenboro – South Cypress Fire Department, $2,000 to the MacGregor Fire Department, $1,760 to the Hamiota Fire Department, $1,500 to the Ste. Rose Du Lac Fire, and $1,000 to the Melita Fire Department.

According to the Office of the Fire Commissioner, there are between 5,000 and 6,000 fires that result in loss each year in Manitoba alone. Red River Mutual is in the protection business. Like most insurers, we help people recover from loss. But we believe an insurance company can be much more than that. Our mission is to help people avoid loss in the first place.
