Altona, Manitoba – Since 2012, Red River Mutual has provided over $30,000 in scholarships to young people, including the sons and daughters of Red River Mutual Staff and Directors. The aim is to provide support and assistance to young people in their pursuit of post-secondary education by investing in their future.
In 2016, Red River Mutual awarded $11,000 in scholarship funds to deserving students.

On Wednesday, September 21, 2016 Red River Mutual staff rode the Big Bike for Heart and Stroke through the streets of Altona to raise funds and awareness for a great cause.
The ‘Mutual Marauders’ consisted of 28 riders from Red River Mutual staff who raised over $6,000 in donations. Since 2009, Red River Mutual staff and supporting brokers have raised over $30,000 riding the Big Bike for Heart and Stroke.
“With company involvement we are able to provide more funding in the fight for a cure.” said Red River Mutual staff organizer Kim Batchelor. “The money raised in Manitoba, stays in Manitoba.”
Red River Mutual would also like to extend a special Thank You to IGA and the Sun Valley Co-op for providing the food served at the appreciation barbeque held after the bike ride.

Altona, Manitoba – Red River Mutual staff have chosen to once again “dress casual” for a cause and chose to support the Manitoba Camping Association & Sunshine Fund. A monetary donation bought each staff member the ability to wear jeans to work the day before a long weekend and the last Friday of every month.
